David T. Boyd, M.D. MBA

Dr. Boyd received a B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University, graduating with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. In his junior year, he spent a semester abroad at King's College in London, England, studying the sciences. He completed an M.D. at Georgetown, as well as a full-time M.B.A. He was awarded membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. His business school experience was capped by a consulting project for Eurotel, a large mobile phone company based in Prague, Czech Republic.

Dr. Boyd completed a Transitional Year Internship at Inova Fairfax Hospital within the Department of Medicine. He then completed his Radiology Residency and Neuroradiology Fellowship at Georgetown. During residency, he was named Chief Resident and subsequently, Resident of the Year. He achieved Radiology Board Certification from the American Board of Radiology and is Authorized User Eligible for Nuclear Medicine. During residency and fellowship, he received extensive training in MRI.

Dr. Boyd has published a significant amount of radiology research, including in both adult and pediatric neuroradiology. He achieved a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. He serves as a Reviewer of the American Journal of Neuroradiology and as a Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology's Young Professionals Subcommittee. He also serves as the Treasurer and Young Physician Alternate Councilor for the Washington, DC Chapter of the American College of Radiology.

Dr. Boyd has intermediate level Spanish proficiency.

Dr. Boyd and his wife Suzanne are the proud parents of their 1 year old daughter Isabelle. His hobbies include history, golf, tennis, and skiing.
