Aimee Maceda, M.D. Dr. Maceda graduated from Colgate University Magna Cum Laude. She was elected to numerous honor societies as an undergraduate. Dr. Maceda then went to medical school at the State University of Buffalo at New York, School of Biomedical Sciences. She continued her medical training in Maryland, first at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, the site of her preliminary internal medicine year. She then joined Johns Hopkins, completing her diagnostic radiology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in June of 2007. During her residency, she received extensive training in all modalities of radiology, with a strong emphasis on MRI, CT and ultrasound. During her residency, she developed a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging. She therefore decided to pursue a combined Musculoskeletal and Cross Sectional Imaging fellowship, which she completed at Johns Hopkins Hospital.. This intensive fellowship featured extensive training in musculoskeletal cross-sectional imaging, particularly MRI. Dr. Maceda has also worked in the National Breast Cancer Coalition, as project LEAD assistant. She has strong leadership skills, having founded or directed various projects, including philanthropy and tutoring programs while an undergraduate at Colgate University, and a business club while a medical student at SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Maceda is a board certified radiologist. She enjoys working with other physicians, helping them provide optimal imaging care for their patients. Her non-medical interests include time spent with her family, travel photography, personal fitness, theater, opera, and symphony.
