Krista L. McFarren, M.D.

An accomplished army reservist and radiologist, Dr. McFarren is credited with helping Andrews Air Force Base become the first air force institution in the nation to obtain ultrasound certification. In addition to treating patients at Progressive Radiology, she instructs medical students and residents at her alma mater, the Uniformed Services University. A member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, Dr. McFarren’s research interests consist of women’s imaging, sonography, cross sectional imaging and MRI.
 
In her spare time, Dr. McFarren, who has competed in three rugby World Cups, volunteers as an assistant coach for the United States Women's National Rugby Team.
