Jill Wilkens, M.D.
A board-certified pediatric radiologist and women’s imager, Jill Wilkens, M.D., is a widely published author and international lecturer.
Though skilled in all aspects of radiology, her specialty areas include women’s imaging, specifically breast health and infertility (e.g. hysterosalpingography, ultrasound for uterine and ovarian follicle monitoring, MRI evaluation of the pelvis), and pediatric diagnostic care, especially infant hip ultrasound and developmental dysplasia. With her advanced expertise and nurturing manner, she performs 99 percent of all imaging procedures on children without sedation.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wilkins serves as an assistant professor of radiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Since 2001, she has provided pro-bono assistance to the Baltimore County Police Department Child Abuse Division.
In her spare time, Dr. Wilkins enjoys horseback riding, mountain biking, scuba diving, needlepoint, and writing. She has written a lecture series on the human body for school-aged children and a book describing a child’s first visit to the doctor’s office.
She currently resides in Baltimore with her husband, daughter and twin sons.
